A Non-Executive Director can -

• Bring additional skills to the Board
• Bring a wider perspective to identifying risks and areas which need to be controlled
• Serve on relevant sub-committees (e.g. remuneration)
• Contribute to strategy discussions and review and critique plans
• Challenge prior assumptions or decisions which may no longer be valid
